New Delhi: Two Individuals Associated with Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Apprehended by Delhi Police

New Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police successfully apprehended two individuals associated with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang after a brief exchange of gunfire in the upscale Vasant Kunj area of south Delhi. According to police sources, the operation unfolded late Friday night.

As per reports from the Press Trust of India (PTI), one of the arrested individuals is a minor. The members of the gang, identified as 23-year-old Anish and a 15-year-old boy, were captured near Pocket-9 in Vasant Kunj, Delhi.

The Delhi Police received intelligence suggesting that the two individuals were instructed to “open fire” outside a prominent hotel in South Delhi. The police believe that this action was intended for extortion purposes.

Amit, who is currently incarcerated in a Punjab jail, allegedly gave instructions to Anish and the minor on behalf of gangster Anmol Bishnoi, according to PTI. Anmol Bishnoi, a relative of Lawrence Bishnoi, is suspected to be in hiding in Canada, while Lawrence Bishnoi himself is serving time in Gujarat’s Sabarmati jail.

In an exchange of fire, the accused fired five rounds, while the police responded with two rounds in self-defense. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident, stated the police.

The seized evidence includes two pistols, four live cartridges, and a motorcycle. Anish has been named in six cases of armed robbery, the Arms Act, and assault, while the juvenile has been involved in an armed robbery case in Haryana’s Rohtak district.
