Police Investigating Two Men Following Accident on Bartley Road

SINGAPORE – Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into two individuals involved in an accident that occurred along Bartley Road on the morning of December 9.

The police, in response to inquiries from The Straits Times, have reported that a 40-year-old male driver and his 41-year-old male passenger are both being investigated for suspected drug-related and traffic-related offenses.

At approximately 7.55am, the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to an accident involving a car that had reportedly skidded along Bartley Road in the direction of Braddell Road.

Both individuals involved in the accident were subsequently transported to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for further evaluation and treatment, as confirmed by the SCDF.

According to reports from Chinese news outlet Shin Min Daily News, an administrative staff member named Ms Yang recounted her experience of the incident. She mentioned that her husband was driving her to work when they encountered a traffic jam.

Ms Yang was able to capture a video which she later provided to Shin Min, clearly showing a black car that had collided with a road curb. In the footage, it can be observed that both men involved in the accident were being questioned by several police officers.

Furthermore, Ms Yang stated that she witnessed the presence of a police car, two traffic police motorcycles, an SCDF fire truck, and an ambulance at the scene of the accident.

As of now, the police have confirmed that investigations are still ongoing, and more information will be revealed as the case progresses.
