Jashore body discovery” : “Bullet-hit body of Jahangir Alam found in Manirampur, Jashore

A man was found dead near Satnal Bridge in Manirampur upazila of Jashore this morning, hours after he left Dhaka for his village home last night.

The deceased, identified as Jahangir Alam, 45, son of Nurul Alam from Paiyali village in Monirampur upazila, was discovered by locals who immediately informed the police, according to our Benapole correspondent.

Local authorities retrieved Jahangir’s body at around 10:00am and transported it to Jashore General Hospital morgue for further examination, stated Moniruzzaman, the officer-in-charge of Manirampur Police Station.

“Without an autopsy report, it is not possible to determine the cause of Jahangir’s death,” said the OC.

Nurul Alam, the father of the deceased, revealed that Jahangir worked for a private company in Dhaka. He had left the capital city last night and had been in contact with his family over the phone during his journey.

Jahangir disembarked from the bus at Manirampur bus stand around 4:30am today. However, when his family members arrived at the bus stand to receive him, he was nowhere to be found, as reported by Nurul.

Later in the morning, the police received information that Jahangir’s lifeless body had been discovered near Satnal Bridge, confirmed the victim’s father.
