The suspects, two men and a woman aged between 29 and 42, have been remanded for three days to aid the ongoing investigation, according to George Town’s acting Officer in Charge of Police District (OCPD), Superintendent V. Saravanan.

Supt Saravanan revealed that the police received a distress call at 6.18 pm on Tuesday, reporting a commotion at the crime scene. Subsequently, authorities found Teh sprawled on the ground, with a knife believed to be the murder weapon. The CCTV footage retrieved from the vicinity of the apartment’s lift and security office revealed two men arriving on a motorcycle. One of them disembarked and launched the assault on the unsuspecting victim before fleeing the scene.

The case has been registered under Section 302 of the Penal Code, pertaining to murder charges. While the investigation is still in progress, law enforcement officers are leaving no stone unturned in their quest for justice. The authorities are meticulously analyzing the available evidence, including the CCTV footage, to ascertain the identities of the perpetrators and establish a solid case against them.
