BENGALURU: In a shocking turn of events, a 32-year-old married woman from Bengaluru has been apprehended by the police for orchestrating a hoax bomb threat in an attempt to frame her husband. The intricate plan, which backfired, ultimately led to her arrest and exposed her alleged lover from Bihar.

The woman, identified as Vidyarani, reportedly connected with a 34-year-old man named Ram Keshav Prasad on a popular job search application called ‘Apna’ approximately six months ago. Their relationship swiftly blossomed, but Vidyarani’s husband, Kiran, stumbled upon their regular text conversations. Determined to separate them, Kiran resorted to breaking Vidyarani’s phone, hoping to sever their connection. However, Vidyarani managed to convince him to purchase a new phone for her, leading to their eventual breakup.

In a desperate bid to revive their relationship, Prasad took on the guise of a fictional character named ‘Ajit’. He acquired a new phone number and began posing as ‘Ajit’ in an attempt to reconnect with Vidyarani. Oblivious to the fact that ‘Ajit’ was, in reality, Prasad himself, Vidyarani fell into the trap and befriended the fictitious character.

Subsequently, Vidyarani and Prasad devised a sinister plan to fabricate a bomb threat, intending to frame Kiran and thereby eliminate him from their lives. Prasad meticulously drafted the hoax message and instructed Vidyarani to send it to her ‘friend Ajit’ using her husband’s phone. Obliging his instructions, Vidyarani sent the message from Kiran’s phone to ‘Ajit’, who then forwarded it to police informants in Bihar. These informants, unaware of the ruse, promptly relayed the message to the Karnataka Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and national security agencies, leading to Kiran’s initial arrest by the Anekal police.

However, as the investigation progressed, law enforcement authorities uncovered crucial evidence pointing towards Vidyarani as the actual sender of the message from her husband’s phone. Further revelations shed light on Vidyarani’s romantic involvement with Prasad and their elaborate plan to elope by framing Kiran. Shockingly, Vidyarani even insisted that Prasad help her leave Karnataka, and the duo conspired to eliminate Kiran from their lives entirely.

In light of these developments, Mallikarjun Baldandi, the Superintendent of Police in Bengaluru District, announced that a dedicated police team has been dispatched to Bihar to apprehend Prasad and bring him to justice.
