Woman Arrested for Murder in Montgomery Shooting Incident

A woman has been taken into custody on Tuesday, facing murder charges after a fatal shooting occurred earlier in the day in Montgomery, according to the local police department.

Authorities responded to a death investigation in the 600 block of Williamson Road around 12:16 p.m. on Tuesday, as reported by Maj. Saba Coleman of the Montgomery Police. The incident prompted a swift and thorough investigation by local law enforcement and fire medics.

Following the examination of evidence found at the scene, it was determined that the victim’s death was a result of a deliberate act of homicide, revealed Coleman.

The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Keith Powell, a resident of Montgomery. Powell was discovered at the scene with a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead by the attending authorities.

Shortly after the incident, 36-year-old Raytoria McBridge, also from Montgomery, was swiftly identified as a suspect and subsequently charged with murder in connection to Powell’s untimely death.

McBridge has been taken into custody and is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County jail.
