Woman Arrested for Multiple Robberies in Chicago’s Lakeview Neighborhood

A 35-year-old woman has been apprehended by Chicago police on Tuesday for her involvement in a series of robberies targeting a retail business in the Lakeview neighborhood over the past few months. Identified as Maisha Rowe, a resident of the 4100 block of North Ravenswood Avenue, she was taken into custody in the 2700 block of South California Avenue.

The targeted business, situated in the 2400 block of North Clark Street, fell victim to armed robberies on multiple occasions. According to the authorities, the first robbery occurred on October 30th, followed by two more incidents on October 31st, and the most recent incident took place on November 16th.

During each robbery, Rowe allegedly implied that she was armed with a weapon, creating a sense of fear and urgency. After successfully seizing valuable property, she swiftly fled the scene before law enforcement could apprehend her.

Upon investigation and collection of evidence, Chicago police were able to positively identify Maisha Rowe as the prime suspect involved in these robberies. As a result, she has been charged with four felony counts of robbery and aggravated robbery with a firearm.

Rowe is now scheduled to appear at a detention hearing on Wednesday, where the judicial proceedings regarding her case will take place.
