Accident – death – Obituary News : A horrific incident occurred in Penang, Malaysia, where a 60-year-old man was brutally murdered by an unidentified suspect. The victim, identified as Teh Teik Chye, was stabbed 27 times with a knife in a parking lot at an apartment on Jalan Perak. The incident took place at around 6.18pm on December 5.
The acting Northeast police chief, Superintendent V. Saravanan, provided details about the incident during a press conference held at the crime scene. Teh Teik Chye, who worked as an economy rice seller, was attacked by the suspect when he returned home and was about to take the elevator to his own house. He sustained 27 stab wounds in his neck and abdomen.
Residents in the area had previously noticed suspicious individuals lingering around the elevator, raising concerns about their activities. It was these residents who found Teh lying on the ground with severe injuries and immediately called for assistance. An ambulance arrived at 6.50pm and rushed Teh to Penang Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary investigations revealed that there were two suspects involved in the incident. They were seen riding a motorcycle, with one carrying out the attack while the other kept a lookout for the police. The murder weapon, believed to be a short knife, was discovered at the scene, although the actual weapon has yet to be recovered by the police.
In a surprising twist, it was discovered that Teh Teik Chye had a long rap sheet with a total of 11 criminal records. While the motive for the attack is still under investigation, robbery has been ruled out as Teh’s belongings were still with him.
To aid in the investigation, CCTV footage from the apartment’s security room and the elevator area will be examined. The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
This tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns about the safety of residents in the area. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the crime to come forward and assist in the investigation.
As the investigation continues, the community mourns the loss of Teh Teik Chye and hopes that justice will be served for this brutal crime.
