Police Investigating Fatal Double Shooting in Caledon

Authorities are investigating a double shooting incident that resulted in two fatalities in Caledon. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call at a residence on Mayfield Road in the early hours of November 20, 2023.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered the lifeless body of a 57-year-old male victim at the scene. Two female victims, both from Caledon, were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Tragically, a 55-year-old female victim succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday, adding another fatality to the incident. The third shooting victim remains in a critical condition at the hospital.

According to investigators, the shooting involved multiple suspects, and one individual was observed entering a black pick-up truck heading westbound on Mayfield Road. The truck was later found burned-out in a fire on Olde Base Line Road and Creditview Road, which authorities believe is connected to the shooting.

Although the OPP assures the public that there is no immediate threat to safety, residents in the area can expect to see an increased police presence as the investigation continues.
