Maryland Man Arrested and Charged after Knife-Wielding Altercation at Anne Arundel County Shell Gas Station

In an alarming incident at a Shell gas station in Linthicum, a Maryland man was apprehended by law enforcement authorities after brandishing a knife during a violent altercation.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Eric Denully from Curtis Bay, Maryland, was taken into custody by police officers who responded to a distress call at the Shell gas station situated at 463 Camp Meade Road on the evening of December 5. The call reported a heated confrontation involving a weapon. Upon arriving at the scene around 9:20 p.m., the officers were confronted with a terrifying sight – the suspect holding a knife to the throat of another individual.

Reacting swiftly, the officers issued clear commands, prompting the suspect to drop the knife and submit to arrest. Further investigation revealed that prior to the altercation, the suspect had threatened the victim with the knife and forcefully seized personal belongings from the victim.

Authorities are treating this incident as an ongoing investigation, seeking any potential witnesses or individuals with information related to the case to come forward and aid in their efforts to uncover the full extent of the events that transpired at the Shell gas station.
