(KFDA) – Tragic news has struck the city of Clovis as officials confirm the passing of a woman who was critically wounded in a shooting incident back in September. The Clovis Police Department responded to a distress call on September 20, reporting a gunshot victim in the vicinity of Hinkle Street and West 11th Street.

Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered 36-year-old Melissa Silva suffering from a gunshot wound to her chest.
