Tragic Pilot Fatality in Warrenton-Fauquier Airport Plane Crash

FAUQUIER COUNTY, Va. – A devastating incident occurred near Warrenton-Fauquier airport in Virginia, resulting in the untimely death of a pilot.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has reported that a small aircraft crashed at approximately 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Midland and Ebenezer Church Roads, just three-quarters of a mile southeast of Fauquier County airport.

Initial investigations conducted by the police indicate that the accident involved a 1975 Beechcraft plane, which was attempting to land. Tragically, the aircraft collided with several trees during its descent, leading to a catastrophic crash in a nearby field. The impact caused the plane to burst into flames, engulfing it completely.

The pilot, identified as 62-year-old Simmie Adams, tragically lost his life at the crash site. Adams, a resident of Bealeton, Virginia, was the sole occupant of the aircraft.
