Traffic Crash in Montgomery Claims One Life: Investigation Launched
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The Montgomery Police Department (MPD) is currently investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on Monday evening, resulting in the loss of one life.

According to MPD, the incident took place shortly before 6 p.m. on Eastern Boulevard near Hitching Post Lane. Upon receiving the report, MPD and Fire Medics immediately responded to the scene, finding a vehicle with two occupants, a male and a female.
Unfortunately, the woman’s identity remains unknown at this time, but she sustained critical injuries that are considered life-threatening. Tragically, the passenger, identified as 35-year-old Joshua Cortezie from Prattville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
As the investigation is still ongoing, no further information regarding the circumstances surrounding the crash has been released.
