The accident took place in the Nazirhat area of Fatikchhari upazila, located in the Chittagong district. The deceased have been identified as Md Rubel, 26, the drump truck driver, and his assistant, Md Jahangir Alam, 28. Both victims hailed from the Jhiltoli area under Bhujpur police station in Fatikchhari.

The collision proved fatal, instantly claiming the lives of Rubel and Alam. The truck driver of the stone-carrying vehicle, Nur Mia, sustained injuries and was immediately rushed to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital for medical treatment. The severity of his injuries has not been disclosed.

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nazirhat Highway Police Station stated that the accident occurred when the stone-carrying truck, which was traveling from the opposite direction, collided head-on with the rubber-carrying drump truck en route to Chittagong from Fatikchhari’s Bhujpur rubber garden. The impact of the collision was so severe that Rubel and Alam lost their lives on the spot.
