According to police sources, 38-year-old Courtney Gordon left a trail of devastation in his wake at a residence located at 467 Beach 22 Street. Among the victims were two innocent children. Gordon also managed to seriously injure his 61-year-old aunt before attempting to set the house on fire.

“It seems that Gordon lit the couch on fire as he was leaving,” revealed Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny.

The murdered family members have been identified as 11-year-old Miklia James, 12-year-old Rojean Davis, 44-year-old Suzette Taylor-Davis, and Richmond Davis, who was believed to be in his 30s. The 61-year-old aunt remains hospitalized at Presbyterian Queens. While James was discovered outside the entranceway of the house, the other victims were found inside the bedrooms, all brutally stabbed to death.

Describing the scene as “chaos,” Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Hendry delivered an impassioned speech from Jamaica Hospital on December 3. He referred to the incident as a “madman on a rampage, on a mission.”

In a shocking turn of events, two NYPD officers who responded to the scene were also attacked by Gordon. One officer was stabbed in the neck and chest area, while the other was struck in the head. However, a 28-year veteran officer managed to draw his firearm and discharge it, ultimately stopping the assault and neutralizing the perpetrator.

Chief of Department Jeffery Maddrey commended the brave actions of the veteran officer, stating, “He was able to withdraw his firearm, discharge his weapon to stop the assault, and he was able to stop the perpetrator.”

Both wounded officers were discharged from the hospital on the same night, receiving a well-deserved round of applause from their fellow colleagues.

As investigators continue to delve into the motive behind this horrific incident, the community mourns the loss of innocent lives and grapples with the aftermath of such a senseless act of violence.
