Two Rivers Teens in Custody After Shots Fired at Manitowoc Apartment Complex

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Two teenagers from Two Rivers have been taken into custody after multiple shots were fired at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Meadowbrook Drive in Manitowoc on Sunday evening. The incident occurred shortly before 8 p.m., and fortunately, no residents were injured.

According to a news release from the Manitowoc Police Department, officers were initially dispatched to the complex after receiving a report that the suspect had fired at an unoccupied vehicle. However, upon arrival, officers received additional reports from residents stating that bullets had entered their apartments.

The police quickly identified the suspects involved in the incident, as well as an additional accomplice. It was later confirmed that the residents were inside their apartments when they heard the bullets penetrate their homes. Thankfully, no one was harmed during the shooting.

The two suspects, a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old from Two Rivers, were subsequently apprehended by the authorities in the 1100 block of Memorial Drive in Manitowoc. A stolen gun was also recovered at the location.

The 17-year-old male suspect now faces several charges, including 12 counts of endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, six counts of criminal damage to property, one count of possession of a dangerous weapon by a minor, one count of receiving stolen property, one count of disorderly conduct, two counts of felony bail jumping, and one count of misdemeanor bail jumping. He has been held at the Manitowoc County Jail.

Due to his age, the 16-year-old suspect has been placed in the Sheboygan County Juvenile Detention Center. He is charged with being a party to the crimes of 12 counts of endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, six counts of criminal damage to property, one count of possession of a dangerous weapon by a minor, one count of receiving stolen property, and one count of disorderly conduct.
