Shimla, Himachal Pradesh – In a devastating incident, six labourers lost their lives while as many sustained injuries when their vehicle plunged into a gorge near Sunni in Shimla district on Monday morning. The accident occurred at Kararghat, approximately 35 km from the city, when the driver of the ill-fated pickup truck lost control of the vehicle. The victims, all hailing from Jammu and Kashmir, were on their way to Mandi, according to the police.

Tragically, three of the labourers died on the spot, while the other three succumbed to their injuries after being declared dead by doctors. The injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at the Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital (IGMCH). The authorities have identified four of the deceased as Farid, Gulab, Sahbir, and Talib, while the identities of the remaining two victims are yet to be established.

The accident has left the entire community in shock and mourning. The loss of these hardworking individuals has created a void that will be difficult to fill. Local authorities have expressed their condolences to the families of the deceased and have assured them of all necessary support during this difficult time.
