Second Suspect Sentenced in Wilsonville Police Shooting: Brandon Nicholas Gilpin Receives 80-Month Prison Term

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident after a patrol car identified a 2006 Lincoln Town Car as stolen. Upon confirmation of the stolen vehicle, a deputy attempted a traffic stop.

The incident unfolded on February 14 when law enforcement officers from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office were alerted about a stolen vehicle. The officers quickly located the stolen 2006 Lincoln Town Car and proceeded to initiate a traffic stop near the intersection of SW Wilsonville Road and SW Town Center Loop East in Wilsonville.

As the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspects, identified as Brandon Nicholas Gilpin, 29, from Florida, and Felisha Marie Cunningham, 34, from Tennessee, opened fire on the police officers. In response, the deputies returned fire, injuring both suspects. They were immediately taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Brandon Nicholas Gilpin, the second suspect involved in the incident, has recently been sentenced to 80 months in prison. The sentencing includes 60 months for Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a firearms enhancement and an additional 20 months for Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle. This follows the earlier sentencing of Felisha Marie Cunningham in September, who received a 150-month prison sentence for two counts of Attempted Murder in the first degree.
