The Raleigh Police Department swiftly responded to a distress call at approximately 8:35 p.m. in the 100 block of Summit Avenue, situated in the Caraleigh neighborhood near the intersection of U.S. 401 and South Saunders Street.

The victim, identified as Nicolas Ricardo Carrasco Domenec, suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and was immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility in critical condition. Despite receiving prompt medical attention, Carrasco Domenec tragically succumbed to his injuries on Sunday afternoon. The investigation into this devastating incident is currently ongoing, and authorities have not yet made any arrests in connection with the shooting.
