28-Year-Old Timothy Sams Fatally Shot on Canal Street in New Orleans

Accident – Death – Obituary News : NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police have identified the individual believed to be responsible for the deadly shooting that occurred on Canal Street in November.

According to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), on Wednesday, November 22, around 7:58 p.m., authorities received a report of a man with a gunshot wound in the 800 block of Canal Street. The victim was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save his life, the man succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Timothy Sams, as confirmed by the Orleans Parish coroner on Monday, November 27. The news of his tragic death sent shockwaves through the community.

NOPD officials have now identified the suspect believed to be responsible for Sams’ death. The alleged shooter is Kendrick McGee, a 38-year-old individual who is now being sought by law enforcement.
