Accident – Death – Obituary News : Homeowner Shoots and Kills Suspect During Home Invasion in Granada Hills

The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating a home invasion incident in Granada Hills, where a homeowner allegedly shot and killed one of the suspects. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. on Saturday morning, when officers received a call about a “hot prowl,” which refers to a burglary in progress when the homeowner is present.

According to law enforcement officials, three to four armed males in their 20s entered the home with the intention to burglarize the premises. One of the suspects pointed a weapon at the homeowner, and in response, the homeowner produced a firearm, resulting in a shooting. The suspect who was struck by gunfire died at the scene.

During the incident, a grandmother and a toddler were also present in the home. It is unclear at this time if the homeowner will face any charges, as video footage shows him being detained by the police during the initial investigation.

The deceased suspect has not been identified beyond being a man. The other three suspects managed to escape the scene and are currently at large. However, it is believed that one of the suspects may have been injured during the incident, as a trail of blood was discovered during the investigation. Additionally, a vehicle believed to have been used during the crime has been recovered by the police.
