Engineer Abu Sayed Killed in Road Accident; Three Others Injured

Abu Sayed, an engineer of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), tragically lost his life in a road accident in Panchagarh Sadar upazila early this morning. Three other government officials were also injured in the incident. The accident occurred when a vehicle belonging to a UNO (Upazila Nirbahi Officer) collided with a tree along the roadside after crossing Chawai Bridge. The injured officials have been identified as Fazle Rabbi, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Tentulia, Al Amin, the Upazila Social Service Officer, and Nabiul Karim Sercar, the Assistant Programmer of the UNO office.

Abu Sayed, 33, was the upazila engineer of LGED from Pirganj upazila of Thakurgaon. He had been transferred from Tentulia upazila a few months ago. The injured officials were rushed to Panchagarh Sadar Hospital for treatment, while Al Amin was later shifted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital due to his deteriorating condition. Unfortunately, Abu Sayed succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The cause of the accident and details such as who was driving the vehicle have not yet been determined. The police and firefighters arrived at the scene promptly after receiving the information and provided immediate assistance to the injured. The authorities are now conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.

Abu Sayed’s untimely demise has left the LGED and the local community in deep shock and mourning. He was known for his dedication and commitment to his work, and his loss will be deeply felt by his colleagues and loved ones. The LGED and relevant authorities are providing support and assistance to Abu Sayed’s family during this difficult time.
