Acting swiftly, Jasvir rushed to the scene and immediately took his brother to GMCH, Sector 32. Tragically, Gurjant was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The police initiated inquest proceedings following the incident, but it was the discovery of CCTV footage that solidified the case against Ameer. The footage showed the accused opening the shutter of his shop and dragging Gurjant out before leaving him on the road. This crucial evidence led the Sohana police to book Ameer under Sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offense, or giving false information to screen offender) of the Indian Penal Code.

Sources close to the investigation revealed that Ameer and Gurjant had consumed alcohol together inside the closed salon. The motive behind the murder is yet to be determined, and the police are actively pursuing all leads to establish a clearer picture of the events leading up to the crime.
