GORKHA, Dec 3: A devastating tractor accident in Gorkha has resulted in the loss of one life and left three others injured. The incident, which occurred recently, has sent shockwaves throughout the community.

The District Traffic Police Office in Gorkha has confirmed that the deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Padam Bahadur Thapamagar, a resident of Silingdovan from Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-3. Thapamagar’s untimely demise has left the entire village in mourning.
Additionally, the accident has caused severe injuries to the following individuals: 26-year-old Ram Bahadur Alemagar from Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-3, 22-year-old Pradip Aryal from Abukhaireni Rural Municipality of Tahanu, and 35-year-old tractor operator Bishwas Gurung from Gorkha Municipality-13. Currently, they are receiving necessary medical treatment in Chitwan.
The details surrounding the accident are still under investigation. However, initial reports suggest that the tractor, driven by Gurung, met with an unfortunate mishap, resulting in the tragic loss of Thapamagar’s life and the injuries sustained by Alemagar and Aryal. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
In a separate incident in Saptari, another road accident claimed the life of a motorcyclist. The victim, identified as Mohamad Harun, 35, was fatally struck by a truck at Kadamaha of Surunga Municipality-4 in the district. The collision occurred as Harun was riding his motorcycle along the East West Highway, and the truck, coming from the opposite direction, collided with him.
