Two Men Charged in Multi-Million Dollar Luxury Car Theft Scheme in Riverside County

Accident – Death – Obituary News : Two men have been charged for their alleged involvement in a scheme to steal luxury cars worth over $1 million in Riverside County. The suspects have been identified as Kendall Jamison Clark, 25, from Murrieta, and Gabriel Dean Watters, 47, from San Diego, according to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.

The accused individuals are believed to have participated in a multi-million dollar operation that involved the theft and sale of luxury rental cars. The investigation began in September when the owners of the stolen vehicles contacted authorities, reporting that cars rented by Clark had not been returned. It was discovered that Clark had paid for a one-week rental and collected the vehicles from an owner in Lake Matthews.

When the owners attempted to report the theft, they discovered that their names had been removed from the titles of the vehicles. This revelation raised suspicions, leading to a deeper investigation into the matter.

Investigators soon uncovered that Watters was purchasing the stolen cars from Clark at significantly lower prices than their actual value. The court documents stated that Watters would meet with Clark at various locations in Riverside County, pay him for a group of cars, and then transport the vehicles to other locations, including Mexico, where he attempted to sell them again.

Clark was apprehended in San Diego on October 18. He has been charged with 18 counts of felonies, including embezzlement and car theft. Clark pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on $250,000 bail. His court appearance is scheduled for December 14.

On November 27, Watters was arrested at San Diego International Airport while attempting to board a flight to San Francisco. He is currently being held on $1 million bail, and a court hearing is set for December 8.
