Accident – Death – Obituary News : LOS ANGELES — Authorities in Los Angeles are urgently searching for a suspect believed to be responsible for the brutal murders of three homeless men in late November. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has launched an investigation into the separate incidents, which occurred between November 26 and November 29. Each victim was found to be experiencing homelessness at the time of their deaths.

During a news conference on Friday, LAPD Chief Michel Moore revealed that a lone individual approached and fatally shot each victim while they were asleep. The first victim, identified as 37-year-old Jose Bolanos, was shot in an alley near 110th Street and Vermont Avenue just after 3 a.m. on November 26, according to reports from the Los Angeles Times. The following day, 62-year-old Mark Diggs was found dead in the 600 block of Mateo Street at around 5 a.m. The third victim, a 52-year-old Latino man whose name has not been released, was discovered on November 29 around 2:30 a.m. near Avenue 18 and Pasadena Avenue.

All three victims were found sleeping alone in open areas where they were tragically killed. The vulnerability of the homeless population has raised concerns about their safety and the need for additional support and resources to protect them.

To aid in the investigation, the LAPD has released two images, one of a possible suspect vehicle and another of a potential suspect. The police department hopes that these images will help generate leads and ultimately lead to the identification and apprehension of the person responsible for these heinous crimes.

In response to the alarming situation, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has vowed to mobilize the region and collaborate with various agencies to address the issue. Efforts are underway to raise awareness among the unhoused community about the potential danger they face and to provide shelter and services to those in need.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón expressed his support for the dedicated task force formed by the LAPD to uncover the identity of the potential serial killer targeting the homeless. Gascón has assigned the Major Crimes Division, Bureau of Victim Services, and Bureau of Investigation to assist in the investigation, emphasizing the collective resolve to pursue justice and protect the most defenseless members of society.

As the search for the suspect intensifies, the community remains on high alert, with residents and officials rallying behind the victims and their families.
