The Incident

Local scrap shop workers, D. Kiran Kumar, S. Mohan, and K. Sriramulu, found themselves embroiled in a fatal altercation. These individuals spent their days loading and unloading scrap items for various shops, often spending their nights sleeping on the footpaths. At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Friday, an argument ensued when Kiran took Sriramulu’s blanket without permission. The situation escalated, resulting in Kiran allegedly assaulting Sriramulu, causing him to sustain bleeding injuries. Sriramulu promptly informed Mohan about the rift, who then arrived armed with an iron rod and struck Kiran with significant force. Sriramulu also joined in the attack, using a large stone. Tragically, Kiran succumbed to severe blood loss on the spot.

Arrests

The Gajuwaka police wasted no time in responding to this heinous crime. On Saturday, both Mohan and Sriramulu were apprehended and subsequently remanded into custody. Authorities have filed criminal cases against them, and the investigation is ongoing.
