The accused, identified as 23-year-old Ravi, poured kerosene oil on his partner and set her ablaze following a heated argument. The victim, who sustained severe burns covering 80 to 90 percent of her body, was rushed to the government hospital in Dhar district.

The couple had been in a live-in relationship for the past two months before their relationship turned violent on Thursday evening. Enraged by the argument, Ravi resorted to a horrifying act of pouring kerosene on his partner and igniting a fire. The victim’s screams alerted their landlord, Virendra Jain, who immediately called for an ambulance and rushed her to the hospital.

Due to the extent of her injuries, doctors recommended transferring the victim to a specialized hospital in Indore. The family quickly arranged for transportation and took her to another hospital in Indore. Meanwhile, the victim’s family wasted no time in filing a case against Ravi at the Sardarpur police station, accusing him of a deadly attack.
