The victim, identified as Fousiya, a 20-year-old native of Kollam, had her life cut short by her boyfriend, M Aashiq, also 20 years old and hailing from the same city.

Fousiya, a promising second-year nursing student at Balaji Medical College in Chrompet, Chennai, had a bright future ahead of her. However, her dreams were cruelly shattered by the hands of her own boyfriend. According to the police, Aashiq and Fousiya had checked into a hotel room in the Chrompet area on Friday. Unfortunately, an argument ensued between the couple, which ultimately led to Aashiq mercilessly strangling Fousiya to death using his t-shirt.

What makes this horrifying incident even more disturbing is the fact that Aashiq recorded the entire act on his mobile phone. Displaying a complete lack of remorse, he went on to upload the video as his WhatsApp status. Shockingly, some of Fousiya’s friends who saw the distressing footage immediately alerted the police. Responding swiftly to the alarming situation, law enforcement authorities rushed to the crime scene and apprehended the culprit. Meanwhile, Fousiya’s lifeless body was transferred to the government medical college in Chrompet for further examination during the postmortem process.

Investigations into the tragic incident have revealed a disturbing past between Aashiq and Fousiya. The couple had reportedly entered into a marriage when they were still minors. As a result, their child is currently housed in an ashram in Mysore. It has come to light that Aashiq had previously been incarcerated under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for marrying Fousiya at such a young age. Upon his release from jail, Aashiq relocated to Chennai in order to maintain contact with Fousiya. However, their relationship hit a breaking point when an argument erupted over Aashiq’s alleged involvement with other women.
