Accident – Death – Obituary News : Brantley Man Arrested for Murder of Dozier Woman in Crenshaw County
In a tragic turn of events, a 40-year-old man from Brantley, Alabama, has been charged with murder in the death of Angel Renea Soisson, a 32-year-old woman from Dozier. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) confirmed the arrest, which was made by Sergeant Jeremy J. Burkett.

The incident occurred on Monday, November 27, near the 6000 Block of Old Three Notch Road, in the Bullock Community of Crenshaw County. ALEA launched a homicide investigation following requests from both the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office and the Crenshaw County District Attorney’s Office. Dustin Lee Burbage, the accused, was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with murder, as well as possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The victim’s family, devastated by the tragic loss, took to social media to share their grief and reveal the alleged nature of the crime. Soisson’s mother, Bessie Williams, expressed her heartbreak, stating that her daughter lost her life at the hands of her boyfriend. Williams revealed that Soisson was shot and killed by a man she cared for, someone who was supposed to care for her in return.
As the family comes to terms with the tragedy, they have set up a Go Fund Me page to help cover the funeral expenses. Soisson, a proud mother of three beautiful children aged 16, 14, and 12, did not have life insurance, and the family is now struggling to make ends meet during this difficult time.
Following his arrest, Burbage was taken to the Crenshaw County Jail, where he awaits further legal proceedings. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, and no additional details have been released at this time. Once the investigation is complete, all findings will be handed over to the Crenshaw County District Attorney’s Office for review.
