The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) released a press statement, highlighting the commencement of a major operation against terrorists in the Domail area of the district. The operation spanned several police stations and aimed to eliminate the threat posed by these militants.

According to the statement, as soon as the terrorists noticed the presence of the police and CTD personnel, they opened fire. In an act of self-defense, the law enforcement agencies retaliated, resulting in the killing of a terrorist named Rahimullah. Additionally, another militant identified as Sultan was successfully apprehended. However, one terrorist, known as Irshad, managed to flee the scene despite sustaining injuries.

The CTD statement further revealed that all three terrorists belonged to the notorious Hafiz Gul Bahadar group, known for its involvement in various criminal activities. These militants were responsible for launching attacks on police officials during anti-polio vaccination campaigns and assaulting police posts in Karak and other districts.

The successful operation not only neutralized a dangerous terrorist but also resulted in the capture of a key accomplice. The security forces’ relentless efforts to maintain law and order in the region have once again paid off, ensuring the safety and security of the local population.
