Middle Sackville Man Arrested on Multiple Sexual Offence Charges Involving Female Youths

A 27-year-old man from Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia, has been apprehended by Halifax RCMP on various sexual offence charges after allegedly exploiting SnapChat to target young girls, according to law enforcement officials.

The Halifax RCMP revealed that they received two separate complaints on September 28, reporting sexual assaults committed against underage individuals. Investigations led the police to uncover evidence that the suspect, identified as Jehad Abdelghani, had been using SnapChat as a means of communication to entice young girls into engaging in sexual acts in exchange for vape products.

Authorities further disclosed that Abdelghani had been operating under four different SnapChat usernames. In one of the incidents, he allegedly sexually assaulted a minor after driving her to a specific location in his 2019 blue Ford Mustang.

The arrest of Jehad Abdelghani took place on November 16, when he voluntarily presented himself at the Halifax Regional Police Headquarters.

As a result of the investigation, Abdelghani is now facing several charges, including sexual assault, making sexually explicit material available to a child, sexual interference, two counts of luring a child, and invitation to sexual touching.
