Following the brutal assault, the perpetrators callously disposed of the victim’s body before fleeing the scene in a bid to escape justice.

“We have successfully apprehended Dongare and Taware, both residents of Dombivli,” said Khandare. “During the interrogation, they confessed to their inebriated state and their involvement in the altercation that led to Shinde’s untimely demise. We will present the accused in court tomorrow. However, the stone used in this heinous crime has yet to be recovered,” he added.
