Inside the house, officers discovered a woman, later identified as Chariot Hildreth, lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to her back. Despite their efforts to administer aid, Hildreth tragically succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

One witness, who had initially encountered French at the crime scene, revealed to Sgt. Campbell that a dispute had erupted outside the house, culminating in the fatal shooting. The witness courageously identified French as the individual responsible for shooting Hildreth, providing a statement to the Magnolia Police Department. Other cooperative individuals residing in the house corroborated the witness’s claims, further confirming French’s involvement in the tragic incident.

The affidavit pertaining to Warren’s case shed light on his role in the altercation. According to a witness account, Warren was among a group of three individuals who attempted to prevent French from gaining entry to the party. The witness recounted seeing Warren brandishing a firearm shortly before the shooting commenced. As the shots rang out, the witness observed both Tavyonce Haynes of Magnolia and a juvenile lying on the ground, having sustained gunshot wounds. Hastily, the witness loaded the injured juvenile into her vehicle and rushed him to Magnolia Regional Medical Center.

Two days later, Sgt. Campbell and another detective interviewed Haynes at a hospital in TEXarkana. Haynes shared his version of events, stating that an altercation occurred at the front door when they were denied entry. Haynes explicitly mentioned that Warren, known to him personally and residing in Waldo, had retrieved a gun from his hoodie and shot him twice in the chest. The witness positively identified Warren as the perpetrator through a photo lineup.

The charges of first-degree murder and commission of a terroristic act, both classified as Class Y felonies, carry severe penalties upon conviction. The sentences for these charges range from a minimum of 10 years to a maximum of 40 years, or even life imprisonment. Additionally, Warren faces a Class B felony charge of first-degree battery, which entails a prison sentence ranging from five to 20 years, along with a possible fine of up to £15,000.

Chariot Hildreth, a cherished member of the community, graduated from Magnolia High School in 2012 and worked at the esteemed Mister James Restaurant. Her untimely demise has left behind a grieving family, including her mother, three sisters, and one beloved daughter.
