At some point during the pursuit, the police ran a check on the license plate and discovered it to be a counterfeit. Jason O’Bryant Evans Jr., a 30-year-old individual, was apprehended by the police. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed the presence of a firearm. The spokesperson further stated that Evans had outstanding misdemeanor warrants for his arrest in Charlotte and that he was a previously convicted felon.
