CLOVIS, New Mexico – Omarrion Price, an 18-year-old teenager suspected of committing a series of armed robberies in Albuquerque, has been arrested in Clovis after engaging in a high-speed chase and shooting at law enforcement officers during the pursuit.

On November 22, the authorities received information regarding Price’s presence in Clovis. The Clovis Police Department swiftly responded to the report, aware that Price was wanted for several armed robberies in Albuquerque.

A dramatic pursuit ensued as law enforcement officers followed the fleeing vehicle. In a shocking turn of events, Price brandished a handgun and began firing at the pursuing officers.

After a relentless chase, the pursuit concluded in the 1000 block of West Christopher Drive. Price swiftly exited the vehicle and fled on foot, while Baca was promptly apprehended by the authorities.

Both the Clovis Police Department and the Curry County Sheriff’s Office swiftly established a perimeter in the vicinity, ensuring that Price had limited escape options. K9 Officer Skipper, a highly trained police canine, was deployed to track down Price, successfully locating him a few blocks away. The fugitive was subsequently arrested. During the search of the area, law enforcement officers also discovered a firearm, which is believed to be connected to Price.

Price is currently detained at the Curry County Adult Detention Center, facing an array of charges. These charges include Assault with Intent to Commit a Violent Felony upon a Peace Officer (2nd Degree Felony), Shooting at or from a Motor Vehicle (4th Degree Felony), Tampering with Evidence (3rd Degree Felony), Receiving Stolen Property (4th Degree Felony), Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer (Misdemeanor), Armed Robbery (Warrant out of Albuquerque), Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Attempt to Commit a Felony to Wit Armed Robbery (Warrant out of Albuquerque), and Violation of Conditions of Probation, Release or Supervised Release (Warrant out of Albuquerque).

Furthermore, Sheryka Baca, the driver of the vehicle, has been charged with fleeing from law enforcement and with harboring a felon.

The successful apprehension of Omarrion Price signifies a significant victory for law enforcement agencies, ensuring that a dangerous individual involved in multiple armed robberies and who posed a threat to officers is now in custody.
