MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Authorities are on the hunt for a man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Blytheville, Arkansas, last week. The suspect has been identified as Elbert Earl Thomas Jr., a 34-year-old man who is now wanted for second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a certain person.

The incident took place on November 23 at approximately 11 p.m. Blytheville Police Department officers responded to the sounds of gunshots in the area of Willow and Madison. Upon arrival, they were informed that the victim, identified as 42-year-old Erica Chew, had been transported to Great River Medical Center.
Chew’s injuries were severe, and she was subsequently airlifted to Regional One Hospital in Memphis. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries and did not survive. Investigations into the shooting have revealed that it was the result of a domestic incident.
