In a shocking and tragic incident that unfolded at a wedding ceremony in Greater Noida on Monday, November 27, a man was shot dead by his son’s father-in-law. The victim, identified as 55-year-old Ashok Yadav, fell victim to the bullets fired by Shekhar Yadav.

The unfortunate incident took place at Mulberry Mansions, a farmhouse located in Greater Noida. Interestingly, this farmhouse holds significance as it was the filming location for certain scenes in the movie ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’.

The horrifying turn of events occurred when Ashok attended his friend’s daughter’s wedding. It was during the wedding ceremony that an argument erupted between Ashok and Shekhar. The altercation escalated, leading to Shekhar and his two accomplices firing shots at Ashok around 9:30 pm.

Following the brutal attack, Ashok was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. However, despite efforts to save his life, Ashok succumbed to his injuries on the way. It is worth noting that Ashok’s son is married to Shekhar’s daughter. Their marital journey had faced turbulence in the past when the couple encountered disputes, leading them to seek legal intervention. However, they later managed to resolve their issues and reconciled.

The wedding ceremony took place at the very same venue that served as the backdrop for ‘Randhawa Paradise’ in the Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. This property is part of the renowned Gaur Group of Developers’ Gaur Mulberry Mansions, situated in Sector 1 of Greater Noida West.

As news of the incident spread, the police swiftly arrived at the wedding venue. Central Noida DCP Suniti Singh stated that Ashok hailed from Hoshiarpur, Noida, while Shekhar belonged to Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. “It appears that there was an ongoing divorce case involving Ashok and Shekhar’s children, which led to this dispute. Shekhar was also in possession of a licensed revolver,” remarked the police official.

In response to the horrific incident, the police have registered a case against Shekhar’s family based on a complaint filed by Ashok’s family. Four teams have been formed to locate and apprehend Shekhar, as confirmed by the police.

As part of their investigation, the police are conducting raids at the residences of Shekhar’s relatives, while also interrogating the wedding attendees to gather vital information.
