An Indian student, Om Brahmbhatt, has been accused of murder after allegedly shooting his grandparents and uncle in their residence in New Jersey. The motive behind the gruesome incident remains unknown.
The tragic event took place at a condo in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Authorities received a distress call reporting gunshots at approximately 9 am on Monday, prompting a swift response from the South Plainfield Police Department.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officials discovered three victims at the scene. Dilipkumar Brahmbhatt, 72, and Bindu Brahmbhatt, 72, were pronounced dead, while Yashkumar Brahmbhatt, 38, succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital.
The relationship between Om Brahmbhatt and the victims, as well as the motive for the shooting, have not been disclosed by authorities. However, it has been revealed that the deceased individuals were the accused’s maternal grandparents and uncle.

The decision to relocate to the US for further studies was reportedly influenced by Om’s maternal grandfather. However, the exact circumstances leading to the tragic event remain shrouded in mystery.
Following his arrest, Om Brahmbhatt was taken to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center, where he awaits a pre-trial detention hearing. It is currently unknown whether he has legal representation.
