Investigation Continues as Police Seek Tremale Serrano in Connection with Fatal Shooting
SHAWNEE COUNTY—Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in locating 29-year-old Tremale M. Serrano, a suspect believed to be involved in a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the death of a 23-year-old Topeka resident.

According to police spokesperson Rosie Nichols, the incident took place on October 15 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Police were alerted to an individual found lying in the front yard of a residence on the 1600 block of SW 21st Street.
Tragically, the victim, identified as Jackson E. Danner, was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The ongoing investigation has led law enforcement to suspect the involvement of a second individual, identified as Tremale Serrano. Authorities are urging anyone with information about Serrano’s whereabouts to come forward and contact the police.
In a major development in the case, on November 14, 33-year-old Aaron Serrano was taken into custody and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections in connection with the death of Jackson E. Danner.
