16-Year-Old in Stable Condition Following Shooting Incident in Waterbury

A 16-year-old boy is reported to be in stable condition after being shot in Waterbury on Wednesday morning, according to local authorities.

At approximately 8:16 a.m., officers from the Waterbury Police Department were dispatched to Waterbury Hospital in response to a gunshot victim seeking medical attention at the emergency room.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the victim, identified as a 16-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound. Due to the seriousness of his injury, the teenager was subsequently transferred to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, where he is currently receiving treatment for a non-life-threatening injury. As of Wednesday, his condition has been listed as stable by hospital staff.
