Tragic Accident Claims Life of 8-Year-Old Girl in South Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES – An 8-year-old girl who suffered critical injuries after an SUV crashed into a bus stop in South Los Angeles on Thanksgiving, resulting in the death of her mother, tragically passed away, according to the police’s announcement on Tuesday.

The devastating incident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. on 1758 W. 83rd St., just east of Western Avenue and a few blocks south of Florence Avenue, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The victim, identified as Alma Aragon, and her daughter were walking when an SUV, allegedly driven by an intoxicated motorist, veered onto the sidewalk and struck them mercilessly.
The Los Angeles Fire Department swiftly responded to the scene and transported all three victims, including another male who was injured in the crash, to a regional trauma center for urgent medical care.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident, but they have strongly indicated that alcohol played a significant role in the tragedy, stating that it was “absolutely” a factor with “at least one of the drivers.”

It has been confirmed that the speeding driver involved in the collision was driving without a license. However, the identity of the unlicensed driver has not yet been released by the authorities.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the devastating crash, according to the LAPD.
