19-Year-Old Son Being Investigated as Potential Suspect in Triple Fatal Stabbing in The Bronx

The New York Police Department (NYPD) has announced that the 19-year-old son of one of the victims in Sunday’s triple fatal stabbing in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx is now being looked at as a potential suspect in the gruesome murders. The incident, which left three people dead, including a 5-year-old boy, has shocked the local community.
According to reports from the New York Post, the son of Jonathan Rivera, 38, checked into the Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla shortly after the horrific incident occurred. However, the police have not yet named or charged him.
The victims, identified as Jonathan Rivera, 38, his 33-year-old partner Hanoi Peralta, and their 5-year-old son Kayden Rivera, were found stabbed to death on Sunday morning inside their apartment located at 674 E. 136th St. Neighbors had made the horrifying discovery and immediately called 911.

One tenant, who wishes to remain anonymous, spoke to FOX 5 NY’s Michelle Ross, saying, “I opened my door to go to work and the body was there.” The neighbor added that he had heard a commotion the previous night, describing it as a scuffle and a woman screaming.
Police arrived at the scene after receiving the distress call, finding Jonathan Rivera’s body in the first-floor hallway with multiple stab wounds to his torso. Authorities believe that the man’s body had been discovered by neighbors earlier that morning.
The investigation is ongoing, with the focus now shifting towards the 19-year-old son as a potential suspect. The police have not disclosed any further details regarding the motive or circumstances surrounding the crime.
Jonathan Rivera had been working as a maintenance worker at a nearby daycare center, where his colleagues described him as a dedicated employee and a loving father. The couple, along with their 5-year-old son, had reportedly been on a date night just hours before their lives were tragically cut short.
The local community is left in shock and mourning over this senseless act of violence. As the investigation continues, residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
