Two Men Killed in Tragic Motorcycle Accident in North Delhi

New Delhi: In a devastating incident, two young men lost their lives after they were involved in a fatal accident in Samaypur Badli, a neighborhood in north Delhi. The victims, identified as Arnab Sarkar (20) and Ayush Mandawat (20), were riding a motorcycle without wearing helmets. The police suspect that the bike may have skidded, leading to the tragic accident.

Arnab Sarkar and Ayush Mandawat were both students at a college in Rohini. They resided in Dwarka and Rajasthan respectively. The incident occurred early morning on Thursday and was reported to the police at 5:29 am.

Upon receiving the call, the police immediately rushed to the scene near the crime branch office in Rohini canal. They found the motorcycle in an accidental condition. Unfortunately, Sarkar was pronounced dead at the scene, while Mandawat succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

A police officer stated, “We suspect that the victims were riding the motorcycle at a high speed, causing it to skid and ultimately resulting in the accident.”

The police have registered a case under sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 304 A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code.

A polling agent, Shanti Lal, died due to suspected cardiac arrest in Pali district while on duty for the Rajasthan assembly elections. The polling agent collapsed at booth number 47 in the Sumerpur assembly constituency and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared him dead on arrival and suspected a heart attack as the cause. The party affiliation of the polling agent is unknown.
