Tragic Incident: Three-Year-Old Girl Raped and Strangled to Death in Muzaffarpur Village

In a horrifying and deeply saddening incident, a three-year-old girl was brutally raped and strangled to death in a village near Muzaffarpur. The accused, identified as Lal Babu, has been apprehended following the discovery of the victim’s lifeless body buried in a farmland.

The shocking incident unfolded when the child, accompanied by her parents, visited a relative’s house. Lal Babu, a 20-year-old man, requested permission from the girl’s mother to play with her. Subsequently, he returned with the child. However, around 10 pm, he sneaked out with her once again, this time without her mother’s knowledge or consent, as reported by TOI.

Upon realizing the child’s absence, the family members initiated a frantic search. Unanswered phone calls to Lal Babu only intensified their concerns, leading them to promptly report the matter to the police.

Muzaffarpur ASP (east) Shahriyar Akhtar informed that the lifeless body of the little girl was discovered in a farmland, located a mere 200 meters away from her relative’s residence, around midnight. With the assistance of locals, the police acted swiftly, apprehending Lal Babu within a few hours.

In compliance with the Supreme Court’s directives to protect the privacy of sexual assault victims, the identity of the young girl has been kept confidential.
