NORTH VERSAILLES, PA – A disturbing incident unfolded in the early hours of the morning as gunshots pierced the silence of North Versailles, resulting in a brave officer sustaining injuries and a suspect now facing a multitude of charges.

The Allegheny County Police Department has reported that the unsettling incident occurred shortly after 3:30 AM on Arlington Avenue. Responding to a distress call regarding a domestic disturbance, the North Versailles Police swiftly arrived at the scene, only to be confronted by a man lurking in the dimly lit alley.

Without warning, the suspect opened fire, discharging at least one round, which struck and injured one of the officers.
