Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Statue Damaged; Youth Identified as Dharamraj Found Dead on Railway Tracks

Accident – Death – Obituary News : A village in Sara Akil area of this district witnessed an act of vandalism as miscreants damaged a statue of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, according to local police. The incident, which occurred on Saturday night, left the fingers and book in the statue’s hand severely damaged. Promptly, the concerned residents of Chittapur village alerted the police about the unfortunate incident.

Circle Officer Yogendra Krishna Narain informed that the statue was promptly repaired after the incident was reported. Additionally, the police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against unidentified men, who were captured on a CCTV footage riding a motorcycle near the scene of the crime. Authorities are actively investigating the matter to apprehend the culprits responsible for this act of vandalism.

In another unfortunate incident, the body of a young man was discovered on the tracks near Sirathu railway station in the Saini police station area. The police took possession of the body upon receiving the distressing information. The victim, identified as Dharamraj, hailed from Antu Ka Purva in the Kada Dham police station jurisdiction.

It is believed that Dharamraj had traveled by train from Delhi to Sirathu. Despite the train not stopping at his intended destination, Dharamraj attempted to disembark, resulting in a tragic accident. The moving train’s wheels tragically severed his body into two pieces. Dharamraj, residing in Ward No. 6 Vivekananda Nagar (Antu Ka Purva), had been employed in a private company in Delhi since the demise of his father. Due to unfortunate circumstances, he was unable to return home for Diwali and was thus traveling on the aforementioned night.

As the train slowed down near Sirathu railway station due to a signal issue, some passengers disembarked. Tragically, Dharamraj also tried to alight from the moving train, slipping and falling between the tracks and the wheels. The result was a horrific accident that claimed his life, leaving his body severed.

These incidents have caused shock and grief among the local community. The desecration of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar’s statue is not only an act of vandalism but also an affront to the ideals he represents.
