A tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of Sunday morning in Long Beach as a 41-year-old man lost his life in a fatal shooting. The victim has been identified as Andre McClendon, a resident of Long Beach.

The shooting took place at approximately 2:18 a.m. on the 1700 block of Pine Avenue. McClendon succumbed to his injuries at the scene, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
According to the police, McClendon was approached by several male individuals, whose intentions remain unknown. Moments later, gunshots rang out, and the assailants fled the scene in a vehicle before law enforcement arrived.
