Moped Collision with Ford Escape Results in Fatality in Macon, Georgia

Macon, Georgia – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic traffic accident that claimed the life of a moped driver and left his passenger injured. The incident occurred at the intersection of College Street and Walnut Street on Saturday evening around 7:15 PM.

The victim, identified as 46-year-old Zondollius Reynolds from Macon, was operating the moped when he allegedly ran a red light and collided with a Ford Escape. Sadly, Reynolds was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, while his passenger was transported for medical treatment.

Fortunately, the driver of the Ford Escape emerged from the accident unharmed.

Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has urged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and contact their fatality investigator at 478-751-7500.
