In a shocking incident, the lifeless body of a woman was discovered in the swimming pool of ATS Advantage Society in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The grim discovery was made on Saturday morning by a resident of the society.

The unidentified woman, believed to be in her 30s, showed no signs of injury on her body. Local authorities conducted inquiries with the residents and locals in the area but were unable to obtain any leads. CCTV footage from the society was also reviewed but did not provide any substantial information.

The victim had attended a party with friends at the location. In that case, the victim’s relatives accused his friends from Gwal Pahari of being responsible for his death. Subsequently, an FIR was registered against them under sections 302 (Murder) and 34 (Common Intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the DLF Phase 1 police station.

Regrettably, this is not the first time such incidents have occurred. In April of this year, a 75-year-old man lost his life in a swimming pool in Mumbai’s Goregaon area when a young individual allegedly jumped on him from a considerable height. The incident took place at the Ozon swimming pool in Goregaon West, and the victim was identified as Vishnu Samant. After being rushed to Kapadia Hospital by the pool staff, Samant’s sister arrived in the evening only to discover that he had succumbed to his injuries. The Goregaon Police registered an FIR under section 304 (A) IPC against the 20-year-old responsible for the tragic incident.

The recent incident in Ghaziabad highlights the need for enhanced safety measures and vigilance in swimming pool facilities across the country. It serves as a grim reminder of the potential dangers that can arise in such environments.
